Many moons in the making, Beatific is a musical project from the heart and brain of award-winning composer, producer, and sound designer Elad Marish. With support from artist and producer Jeremy Black, Beatific blossomed into a lush, sonically brilliant reality that explores concepts of love, transcending the mundane, intergenerational trauma, and beyond. With an upcoming EP release this fall and the next chapter already in the works, this is a journey you’ll want to be a part of....

As Senior Producer at renowned Swell Music + Sound in San Francisco and long-time President of the American Association of Music Producers, Elad boasts a dynamic sound palette and expert instrumental and production techniques. After countless iterations of musical ideas, he found his creative sweet spot. And thus, Beatific was born.

A budding musician from a young age, Elad played guitar and sang in bands. He later discovered the potential contained in musical scoring and immediately taught himself Protools, Logic, and Ableton, leading him to work in LA studios and establish many collaborations and friendships along the way. Soon it came time to open up shop as Swell Music + Sound. This outfit grew into a 2,000 square foot facility in downtown San Francisco with a legendary reel. Having worked on hundreds of spots, Elad teamed up with producer and drummer Jeremy Black of BLXK and Coyote Hearing to produce the new Beatific EP.

Jeremy is a US-born producer and composer living in Berlin. In high school he was mentored by Jazz legend John Scofield with whose daughter he had started a punk band with. At Berklee School of Music, he met Sam Cohen (Prod. Kevin Morby, Danger Mouse) and Jesse Gallagher with whom he founded the psych-pop group Apollo Sunshine. Signed by the time they graduated, they came up in the early 2000s with the likes of The National and The Strokes. They received critically acclaimed success, a pivotal placement in Breaking Bad, signed a publishing deal with Domino, and spent eight years touring the world.

In 2010, Black opened Coyote Hearing Studio in Oakland to pursue his dream of becoming a full-time music producer. He has worked with dozens of prominent artists over the years, including members of Bon Iverand The National, Ezra Furman, and Dr. Dog to name a few. In 2016 he was invited to participate in Bon Iver and The National’s collaborative music festival, PEOPLE. Since then, Black has become a close member of Justin Vernon’s (Bon Iver) creative group and works regularly at his Wisconsin studio.

The upcoming Beatific EP is contributed to by programmer Will Bauer, percussionist Michael Pacis, keyboardist Mike Forst, and mixed by Grammy-nominated producer and mixer Tony Hoffer, all of which elevates the music to new dimensions.
